Jerome Pandell Knows Our Schools Because He’s From Our Schools
I’ve decided to “go back to school”!
In November 2014, I’m running for election to become a trustee on the Board of Education for the San Ramon Valley Unified School District — the home of my elementary, middle, and high schools. Please visit http://www.jeromepandell.com/ where you can learn more about me and what I’ve done to prepare for taking on this important post.
Lots of buzzwords surround education nowadays — Common Core, teach-to-the-test, college-and-career-readiness, pay-for-performance, project-based learning, and virtual classroom … just to name a few. Our district’s parents, teachers and students continue to succeed by focusing on what’s made our district so great since its founding more than 100 years ago — striving toward excellence in learning both inside and outside the classroom.
However, outside forces — whether state budget funding challenges or new learning standards that our teachers doubtless can and will implement successfully — present significant challenges for our district in the years ahead, and our Board of Education needs a new voice who will tirelessly advocate for our schools in the community as well as in the halls of government in both Sacramento and Washington, D.C.
If you vote for Jerome C. Pandell on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, then I promise to be that new voice and tireless advocate.
Change doesn’t come easy and neither does winning an election, so, I’d be grateful for your support — more details on how you can do that in the coming days. For now, feel free to reach out to me via email — JCP4SRV@gmail.com — or in the comments section below with your thoughts and opinions about how — working together — we can continue the Traditions Of Excellence at ALL of the schools in the San Ramon Valley.
Onward to victory,
